Explaining Our 5-Step Detailing Process

How Diamond State Car Salon Does Detailing

  • 1. Initial Inspection

Every detailing job starts with a complete inspection of your vehicle. We check the interior and exterior to identify problem areas, including stains, scratches, and buildup. This step helps us tailor the process to your car’s specific needs and ensures nothing is overlooked.

  • 2. Exterior Wash and Decontamination

Next, we give your vehicle a professional hand wash to remove dirt and grime. We follow with clay bar treatment or other decontamination methods to lift embedded particles from the paint, leaving the surface smooth and ready for polishing or protective coatings.

  • 3. Paint Correction and Polishing

If needed, we perform paint correction to remove swirls, light scratches, and oxidation. This step restores your car’s original shine and ensures an exceptional finish. Polishing further enhances gloss and smoothness, giving your vehicle a like-new look.

Our paint correction service is package specific, if you're interested in a paint correction, see our premium detail package

  • 4. Interior Deep Clean

Inside the vehicle, our teams goal is to restore that new car feel. Carpets, upholstery, vents, dashboards, and hard surfaces get full attention to remove dirt, dust, and odors.

If you're looking for a superior interior clean, including glass cleaning, leather seats conditioning, or  pet hair removal see our Premium Detail Package

You can always include optional add-ons to any service like leather conditioning or pet hair removal. Contact us to inquire!

  • 5. Finishing Touches

Finally, we apply any protective treatments, dress tires, clean glass, and give your vehicle a final inspection. Every detail is checked to ensure your car looks its absolute best. This final step guarantees a refreshed result you’ll notice every time you drive.

When your detail is complete and you return to your vehicle, we will conduct a walk around inspection with you to ensure satisfaction & a quality finish, if you're available.

Just a part of our customer first approach to detailing - your vehicle gets treated like one of our own!

Pre-Service Checklist

Before Your Detailing Service, Don’t Forget to…

Remove Personal Items

Before we start detailing, make sure to clear out all personal belongings from your vehicle. This includes trash, conspicuously sticky spare change, and the dozens of Bic lighters in your back seat (seriously, that’s a lot of lighters). Removing clutter allows our team to access every surface and ensures a thorough, uninterrupted cleaning process.

PLEASE NOTE: If a heavy clean out of your vehicle is needed, you may be subject to a maid fee.

Check for Existing Damage

Take a moment to note any scratches, dents, or other damage before detailing. This helps us avoid misunderstandings and ensures pre-existing issues are documented. It also allows us to focus on areas that need the most attention.

Choose Add-On Services

Decide if you want any additional services, like leather conditioning, pet hair removal, or engine detailing. Selecting add-ons ahead of time helps us plan the workflow and ensures your vehicle gets the extra care it needs.

Plan for Drop-Off or Pick-Up

Make arrangements for dropping off or picking up your vehicle, especially if you’re adding extensive services. Knowing the time your car will be with us helps you schedule your day and gives our team the time needed to deliver the best results.

Prepare Your Vehicle’s Exterior

Give your car a quick rinse if it’s extremely dirty or covered in mud. While we handle full cleaning, lightly rinsing the vehicle helps speed up the process and ensures our detailing products work effectively on the paint and trim.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not allow heavy mud deposit removal due to rocks and debris clogging drains.

Detailing FAQs

Answering Customers’ Top 5 Detailing Questions

  • 1. What does a full detailing service include?

Our full detailing service covers both the interior and exterior of your vehicle. Inside, we clean carpets, upholstery, vents, and all hard surfaces, removing dirt, dust, and grime. Outside, we wash, clay, polish, and apply a protective finish to restore your car’s shine and make it look like new.

  • 2. How long does detailing take?

The time depends on your vehicle’s size and condition. Most standard cars take a few hours, while larger vehicles or those needing extra attention may take longer. We focus on quality over speed to make sure every detail is done right.

  • 3. Can detailing remove stubborn stains or odors?

We use professional-grade products and techniques to tackle tough stains and odors, including spot cleaning and interior shampooing. While most stains and odors can be greatly reduced or removed, results may vary depending on the severity and type of material.

  • 4. How often should I have my car detailed?

For most vehicles, a full detail every 3 to 6 months keeps your car looking and feeling its best. Regular detailing prevents buildup of dirt and grime, helps maintain the finish, and keeps the interior fresh and clean.

  • 5. Are add-ons like leather conditioning or engine cleaning available?

Yes, we offer add-ons such as leather cleaning and conditioning, pet hair removal, spot shampooing, and engine detailing. These services can be added to your Classic or Premium Detail package to give your vehicle extra care and attention.
